Jan 2023 - Super Sewer: a Symposium on sustainable art practices.’ - Join artists and Spike Island Associates Susie Olczak, Sarah Rhys, Jo Ball and Veronica Vickery for a symposium on sustainable art practices. Part of Spike Island Associates.

Oct 2022 - ‘One thousand flowers ’ - an outdoor commission at Mangotsfield Folly. Planting of 1000 spring flowering bulbs at a historic site on the Bristol-Bath cycle path,

Aug-Oct 2022 - ‘Points of attachment ’ - a new outdoor work at The Verge. Invited to make new work by artist Mary Redmond. A large piece was made in response to the site - four large nets of cotton cord dyed with natural dyes.

July-Sept 2022 - ‘Nature, our environment ’ - a group show at Kingshill House. invited artists showing works that that discuss the subject of nature, climate action and the importance of our environment.

Feb-April 2022 - ‘Mind, be here present / be here now’ - a group show at Kingshill House. Artists responded to an open call in response to a theme about isolation and covid’s effect on mental health.

Sept-Dec 2021 - Studiobook 2021 - a professional development programme for artists led by Mark Devereux of MDP. A fantastic course covering all areas of artistic practice alongside a great bunch of fellow artists.

March-July 2021 - The Exchange - a peer-led programme that I’ve been taking part in for the past few months (through Spike Island Associates) culminates with an online event on the 30th July, 2-4pm. I made an experimental video collage work with my exchange partner Katrina Brown. Open to all- book your ticket here.

January 2021 - Incredibly grateful to share the news I have received an Arts Council DYCP grant to fund research and development in the studio. Over the next 9 months I’ll be working on new things in the studio - screenprinting, natural dyes, casting in soil(!) - thinking about fragility, the human-nature continuum and how everything is connected (just small things then…). I’ll also be growing dye plants at a local community garden and getting a whole load of professional development.

2020 - 2021 - I’m super happy to say I’ll be developing The Crake Valley Recipe Project with Grizedale Arts. After a wonderful week volunteering there in May 2019, a different world away it seems now, I was invited to be Associate Artist on their project the The Valley. I’ll be working with local people to gather a collection of recipes and personal memories about food and growing.

August 2020 - I’m really pleased to share that I have been selected to be part of Bricks Artist Programme. This is a new initiative to support visual artists in and around Bristol by creating a network of peer-to-peer mentoring and learning, skill sharing and critical thinking. 

July 2020 - Super-chuffed to be commissioned by Studio Meraki for the Art Kits. A wonderful initiative sending out art paves to families throughout lockdown and into the summer holidays. I’ll be making a magic wand.

May 2020 - I have a studio! I’ve just moved into a studio at InBristol studios. It’s a great place and I am really pleased to be there, feels a bit like being back at art college. It’s lovely to be part of a creative community of makers and artists, even if I haven’t met many yet because of the strange times we are.

April 2017 - I'll be back at Dawes Twineworks to continue processing the flax we grew last year. Hopefully we will have spun twine by summer! Dates and details will be confirmed and you're very welcome to come along to help.

March 2017 - Transition 2017 at Newlyn Art Gallery. I'll be in the lower gallery 7th-11th of March working on ideas for a new installation. Do come visit if you're in the area.

October 2016 - Ropewalkers exhibition opens at OSR, the show runs from 14th October - 5th November.

May 2016 - Patches of Blue Sky, a project to grow flax in West Coker, Somerset is well underway. See the blog for more details.
